The River Club Music Hall presents “The Gathering & Steve Sweeney, Friday March 13, 2020
The Gathering is an 8 piece dance band featuring the River Club Music Hall’s own Steve Chase, his wife Mamasteph, two sons Matt & Sam Chase and a heavy duty line up of pro players including Lennie Peterson, Lance Van lenten, Bobby Gallegoes and Tim Paul Weiner.
Steve Sweeney is a Boston legend. Born in Charlestown, MA. his New England humor and Bostonian mannerisms are his comedy trademarks. During the ‘70s’ Steve and a small group of upcoming Boston comedians combined their efforts at the Ding-Ho Chinese restaurant near Inman Square in Cambridge,Ma. Along with Steve Sweeney in this group were Jay Leno, Lenny Clarke, Bobcat Goldthwait, Kevin Meaney, Steven Wright.
With his famous Boston accent and great insight into human nature Steve is so thoroughly Bostonian that he merits his own stop on the MBTA Green line.
